MAHP: Budget Prioritizes Medicaid Funding
Today, Dominick Pallone, Executive Director of the Michigan Association of Health Plans (MAHP), issued the following statement regarding the Governor’s Executive Budget Recommendation.
“The Governor’s budget takes the first step toward prioritizing state funding for Medicaid. With recent federal changes to the Medicaid program and the loss of health care tax credits, Michiganders are facing a health care affordability crisis that warrants policymakers’ attention in this year’s budget. Our members and Michigan voters overwhelmingly oppose cuts to Medicaid, and we look forward to partnering with state policymakers to prioritize dedicated state spending to support Medicaid as the Governor proposed today.”
