In her role as CFO, Jaime Houghton will report to the President and CEO of Upper Peninsula Health Plan, Melissa Holmquist, and will now oversee the Claims Administration, Accounting, and Risk Adjustment departments. “UPHP’s mission is to advance the health and well-being of the communities we serve. I am proud to have been part of the Finance team supporting this work for the last four years and am honored to join the senior leadership team that is passionate about and dedicated to building a healthier U.P.,” said Houghton.

With more than two decades of experience in accounting and finance, Jaime Houghton has the experience and institutional knowledge to excel in this new position. Prior to joining the UPHP team, she worked at UP Health Systems of Marquette, serving as Controller. “I have had the privilege of working with Jaime during her time here at UPHP and am thrilled to have her take on this new role,” said Melissa Holmquist, chief executive officer, UPHP. “Her attention to detail and focus on improving financial processes will be valuable assets to her as Chief Financial Officer. She is a strong leader and a great mentor to her fellow team members, and has the background, vision and drive that I have no doubt will lead the finance team into the future.”
